Kelun Medicine & Trade’s logistics center
Sichuan Kelun Medicine & Trade Group Co., LTD., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sichuan Kelun Industrial Group, has set up a pharmaceutical subordinate. As one of the world’s largest professional manufacturers of intravenous injection and the top 50 pharmaceutical enterprises in China, Sichuan Kelun Industrial Group reached an annual production and sales volume of 1.4 billion bottles (bags) in 2005.
Kelun Medicine & Trade, founded in 2003 under the business section of Kelun Group, is one of the first large pharmaceutical enterprises in Sichuan Province to obtain the national GSP certification. With sales of over CNY 4 billion in 2007, it is recognized as the largest modern pharmaceutical logistics center in western China.

The modern logistics center project of Sichuan Kelun Medicine & Trade Group is located in Xindu District, Chengdu. The planning area of the project is about 100,000 square meters, including around 60,667 square meters of land planned for the first phase of the warehousing and logistics base. The construction area of the phase I project is 80,000+ square meters, and the total investment in the logistics system is over CNY 100 million.
To handle the complicated split picking process of pharma warehousing, the modern logistics center of Sichuan Kelun Medicine & Trade has adopted the multi-level AS/RS shuttle system developed by HWA, using 78 SLS320 standard case-handling shuttles to manage the inbound and outbound flows in a 6-aisle AS/RS containing 33,000+ storage units. This helps enable goods-to-person automatic split picking and a system compound throughput of up to 6,000 bins per hour.
The pharmaceutical warehousing logistics center is also equipped with advanced logistics facilities and equipment such as PGC500 modular conveyors, PSD310 double-layer sorters, flow racks, shelf racks, RFID, inspecting and packing stations, automatic labeling machines, spiral lifts, and high-speed sorters. In addition, the order processing system (OPS), warehouse equipment control system (WCS), and warehouse operation management system (WMS) add efficiency and intelligence to the entire split picking process, taking it to a truly high level in the world.
